Fort Riley, Kansas (AHTNC) – Army PFC Dennis P. Bogdonovich, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Peter P. Bogdonovich, Willard (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, and other members of the
1st Infantry Division are participating in joint Army-Air Force Exercise INDIAN
River II, at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, ending August 2, 1964.
INDIAN RIVER II is the second in a series of three exercises to be conducted by
the USAF Tactical Air Warfare Center at Eglin Air Forece Base, in preparation
for later joint testing and evaluation by the Commander in Chief, U.S. Strike
Command of USAF proposals for using avaiation eo enhance combat effectiveness of
Army units.
Bogdonovich, a mechanic in Company C of the division's 1st Engineer Battalion at
Fort Riley, Kansas, entered the Army in October 1963 and completed basic combat
training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
The 19-year old soldier is a 1963 graduate of Greenwood High School.
