Rueth. She attended St. Anthony’s Parochial School and was a 1953 graduate of
Loyal High School. She married LaVern Kolbeck on July 4, 1956, at St. Anthony’s

Joseph’s Hospital for more than 35 years as a medical record technician. She and
LaVern spent a great deal of their time enjoying their grandchildren’s sporting
events and were true Columbus Don basketball fans as well as Marshfield Blades
hockey fans. She also attended her granddaughter’s cheerleading competitions and
supported her youngest grandson’s bowling events. Jayne further enjoyed sewing
and knitting in her younger years, and reading and doing puzzles later on. She
and LaVern enjoyed dancing with friends on the weekends in their earlier years,
especially if her brother-in-law’s band — the Monico’s — were playing. They also
enjoyed the slots and bingo together. She also spent a lot of time with her
grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jayne was a “mom” not only to Cindy and
Janalee, but also to many nieces, nephews and young women who rented from them
over the years. She was a true blessing to so many.
She is survived by two daughters: Cindy (Ed) Lee, Marshfield, and Jannalee (Ben)
Kolbeck-Lindquist, Marshfield; five grandchildren: Michael, Shawn and Ryan Lee,
Krista Herkert, and Adam Herkert and his fiancé, Candace Corbin; her older
brother, Herbert “Chub” Rueth of Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank the House of the Dove staff for their dedicated
care and kind words. They would also like to thank their family, friends and
co-workers for their support during this difficult time.
