Madison, Wisconsin – Dennis J. Neuenfeldt, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), son of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Neuenfeldt, was among the 1,172 students who received their
undergraduate and graduate degrees this fall as the result of their final
scholastic work during the 1964 summer sessions of the University of Wisconsin
at Madison, it was announced today by the University Registrar's office.
Dennis received the Bachelor of Arts degree.
This list of summer degree recipients was announced today at all student
scholastic records for the summer and early autumn were completed and compiled.
This bring the total number of degrees awarded by the University at Madison
during 1964 to 5,608, and the total number of degrees granted by UW during its
115 year history to 148, 676. A total of 3,238 degrees were conferred at the
University's annual spring commencement last June.
Of the total 1,172 degrees awarded this fall, 477 were Bachelor degrees and 695
were higher degrees. Of the higher degrees, 135 were doctorate, maintaining
Wisconsin's high place among the nation's universities in the number of Doctor
of Philosophy degrees conferred.
