The Fourth Annual Channel 7 All-Star High School Football Team was announce by
an Advisory Board of forty-one school football coaches from schools in the WSAU-TV
coverage area. Bob Harms of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) made the team as
Fullback. Harms if 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds.
Members of the All-Star Team participated in an All-Star week, Monday, November
16th, 1964, and they were feted at a banquet at the Wausau Club, along with
their parents, principals and coaches. At the banquet, Certificates of
Recognition were presented to them. Willie Davis, Green Bay Packer end, was the
guests speaker.
On Saturday, November 21st, the team will be guests of WSAU-TV at the
Wisconsin-Minnesota football game. Preceding the game, the team will lunch with
University official and members of the press.
The WSAU All-Star Team is sponsored by the Wisconsin Valley Television
Corporation to promote the idea that strong bodies must have sound minds. Mark
Zelich is the All-Star Team coordinator.
