Married in Chicago at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 1964, were Miss Colleen Ann
Dyre, Chicago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre, Greenwood (Clark Co.,
Wis.), and Joseph F. LaMonica, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LaMonica, Chicago,
Ill. Mr. Dyre gave his daughter in marriage.
The Rev. Cullin performed the rites at Resurrection Church.
The chapel entrained floor length white bridal gown selected by the bride had a
straight front with A-flared back skirt. The lace over taffeta bodice had a
square neckline. Her fingertip veil was secured to a pearl crown and her bouquet
consisted of three white orchids with stephanotis.
Only attendant at the wedding were Miss Joan Dyre, Minneapolis, maid of honor,
and John LaMonica, best man. The maid of honor donned a pink dress made of lace
over taffeta, the full skirt being made of nylon over taffeta. Her flowers were
a cascade of pink roses.
The reception, which followed the wedding, was held at the groom's parental
home. The dinner and dance that evening were held at Keyman's Club, Chicago,
Ill.
Mrs. LaMonica, a 1958 graduate of Greenwood High School, is employed by Sentry
Insurance, Chicago. Her husband, who was graduated from Austin High School, and
in 1961 from Industrial Engineering College, is a plant layout draftsman for
Charles Bruning Co., Mt. Prospect, Ill.
The LaMonicas are living at 1012 N. Wilke Road, Arlington Heights, Ill.
Attending the wedding were the bride's parents and her sisters, Margie, Jane and
Arlene, also Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Voss, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Peterson and Mr. and
Mrs. Howard Olsen, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Olsen, Loyal; Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Hoffman, De Forest; Mr. and Mrs. John Dyre, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Olsen,
Mr. and Mrs. Matin Quast, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sisson and children, and Mr. and
Mrs. Jonas Bestul, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Quast, Whitewater; and
other relatives and friends from the Chicago area.
