Chicago (Special) – December 3, 1964, Mr. Irving Timmler, 21, R.R. 2, Greenwood
(Clark Co.), Wisconsin, recently completed practical studies in Electronics at
DeVry Technical Institute, Chicago, one of the nation's outstanding technical
training centers. His specialized education covered Electronics Technician.
In recognition of the achievement, Irving has received a diploma from Joseph J.
Gershon, Dean of the DeVry Resident School.
In presenting the award, Dean Gershon said, "Not only do you personally stand to
gain from your accomplishment, but so will you country. For men such as yourself
are helping to close the gap between the United States and some foreign powers,
as regards skilled electronics scientists and technician. Then too, education
such as you have received qualifies you to benefit from automation, rather than
fear it, as do so many unskilled men."
