Schade, Mary (31 JAN 1887 – 22 MAR 1969)
Mary Schade, 82, formerly of Colby, died at the Summit Hospital at Oconomowoc
Saturday, March 22, 1969, of an apparent heart attack.
Services were held Tuesday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at the Lulloff Funeral Home, and
burial was made in Colby Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. David Pankow officiated.
Mrs. Schade, the former Mary Zahorka, was born January 31, 1887. She married
Bernard Schade at Dorchester in 1907. He preceded her in death in 1946.
Mary Schade and her husband operated a farm and feed store in Milan until about
1942, and moved to Colby in 1944. Before moving to a nursing home in Milwaukee,
where she has lived for about the last year and one half, she lived in
Marshfield for eight years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.
Survivors include four children, Harold Schade of Milwaukee, Mrs. Henry
(Isabelle) Brandt of Sheboygan, Everett Schade of Mequon, and Elroy Schade of
Brown Deer.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Wenzel
Zahorka of Milan, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Dunn of Waupaca.
Pallbearers were Norbert Decker, Carl Sabler, Merlin Schjoneman, Clarence Vensky,
Ernest Schade and Lester Solchenberger.
