Schueller, Victor J. (26 MAR 1923 - 22 FEB 2005)
Victor J. Schueller, 81 of 215 N. Third Avenue, Edgar, died Tuesday, February
22, 2005, near Yuma, Arizona as the result of a traffic accident.
Victor was born March 26, 1923 in Milan, son of the late Louis and Clara (Braun)
Schueller.
Victor and Dolores were married on September 1, 1948, at St. Mary Catholic
Church, Marathon.
Victor served as President of the Schueller Company, Edgar for many years prior
to his retirement. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Edgar, serving
as an usher. Among the many civic involvements for Vic were his memberships in
the Edgar Lions, the Edgar Park Commission, the Community Development Block
Grant Board and the Edgar Chamber of Commerce. The Edgar Jaycees also honored
him as Citizen of the Year. Vic enjoyed problem solving and tinkering with
mechanics and woodworking. His talent for fixing anything in need of repair,
earned him a constant stream of projects from family and friends alike.
The Schueller’s enjoyed traveling and spending time up North at the lake.
Survivors include their children Nancy (Randal) Koehler, Edgar, Patty Steffeck,
Stevens Point, Michael (Marie) Schueller, Edgar, Ron (Barb) Schueller, Kent,
Wash., Jan (Jerry) Jacobs, Port Edwards, Gary (Cathy) Schueller, Edgar, and
Kathy (Troy) Bargender, Stratford, 23 grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren.
Victor is survived by four brothers, Alois Schueller, Junction City, George
(Dolores) Schueller, Edgar, Oliver (Helen) Schueller, Athens, Larry “Butch”
(Sandy) Schueller, Edgar, four sisters, Dorothy Schueller, Marie Krause, Agnes
Adamski and Jeannie (Ronald) Heidmann, all of Edgar.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Michael Steffeck
and by Dolores.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 1, 2005 at St.
John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Norman Boneck will preside. Burial will be in
the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on
Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. There will be
a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Victor and Dolores’s name may be directed to
St. John Catholic School, Edgar.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of arrangements.
Our Mom and Dad were always there for us. Their grandchildren knew they could
always count on them. We miss them so much it is almost unbearable. We love you
Mom and Dad. You are now, “Safely Home”.
