Williams, Evan (10 Feb 1856 – 25 Feb 1919)
Evan Williams died at his home at Fond du Lac on Feb. 25th and the remains were
brought here for burial. Mr. Williams was born in England on Feb, 10, 1856, and
was Married to Jane Wade July 4, 1882. He came to America in 1871. He was a
resident of this county for many years, owning and operating a farm in town Pine
Valley until 1903 when he and his wife moved to Fond du Lac to make their home.
He was a man of high integrity and during his residence here gained many friends
who retained their friendship for him during the time of his absence. He is
survived by his wife and brother, Dave Williams. The funeral was held on
Saturday, services being conducted by Rev. Colman and interment being made in
the Neillsville Cemetery.
