Singer, Norman (11 NOV 1918 – 27 Feb 1919)
Norman, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Singer, died at the Marshfield
Hospital last Thursday afternoon of pleurisy, following a siege with pneumonia.
The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at the Lutheran Church of Fremont and
interment was made in the Nasonville Cemetery, Rev. Stricker officiating. The
little one reached the age of three months and 16 days. Everything that human
hands could do was done for the little sufferer, but all in vain. The grim
reaper collects his toll regardless of age or sex and no man has the power to
resist. The large gathering of sorrowing relatives and neighbors and the
beautiful floral offerings bespoke plainer than words that the bereaved family
has the sympathy of the entire community in this hour of deep bereavement, the
loss of their youngest son.
