Levis (6 Mar 1919)

The party at Hartung’s Tuesday night was well attended and at midnight a bountiful supper was served. All who were present report a good time.

Mr. and Mrs. Holub and children spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. C. Shramek.
Oscar Ebert piled wood in the wood shed Thursday.

A. Kurtzwig came from Medford Saturday to see his wife and children, returning Monday.

Fred Subke helped Chas. Lueck chop wood Monday.

The basket social at the Hartung Dist. Saturday night was a grand success.

Mr. and Mrs. Gentleman and children and Mr. and Mrs. Unterchitz visited with the former’s brother, W. Gentleman, Sunday.

Chas. Lueck and R. Ebert were at Clay Sunday.

Andre Pscheidt is spending a few days with his parents.

F. Sebek, G. Sebesta and C. Shramek hauled limestone from Neillsville Wednesday and Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Pettera and children spent Sunday and Monday at the home of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mueller, of Neillsville. Mrs. Pattera’s brother returned from France and is now at home for a furlough. They had a pleasant reunion.

Mrs. Leverance’s father from Elroy is here visiting her this week.

Bob Hudec came home last week Wednesday after being discharged from the army.

Mrs. Lueck spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Ebert.

The Levis Sewing Circle will have a basket social and dance at the home of Max Opelt Saturday night for the benefit of the Sewing Circle and the fatherless children of France.
