Pleasant Ridge (13 Mar 1919)
The Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Clarence Salisbury March 19th for dinner.
Everybody invited.
Ernest Vine and Miss Lydia King took supper and spent the evening at the George
Vine home.
A jolly bunch from Shortville dropped in on Mr. and Mrs. Bert Swann one night
last week and gave them a fine surprise. Everybody enjoyed it. A lunch was
served at midnight.
Mrs. Waterpool has been spending several weeks at the Willard Gerhardt home.
Mrs. James King, Mrs. Fred Vine and Miss Lydia King spent Thursday afternoon
with Mrs. Geo. Vine and helped her strip feathers.
Geo. Swann sold a fine team last Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Vine spent last Wednesday with Ruben King and family.
Rev. Colman spent last Friday calling on the Ridge people.
A horse belonging to O.E. Counsell kicked his son, Victor, in the face, but
fortunately it was not very serious.
Miss Hilda Shafer is sewing for Mrs. George Vine.
Miss Norma Wren is working in Neillsville for Mrs. Grover Huntley.
Vint Lee expects to start the Pleasant Ridge Cheese Factory in April.
