Levis (13 Mar 1919)

Mr. and Mrs. Hosely of Neillsville spent Friday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Eggeman.

P. Gentleman and little daughter left for Chicago Saturday to visit friends and relatives.

The Levis Sewing Circle will meet at the Lynch home Thursday, March 13th.

Miss F. Zastrow’s friends gave her a surprise Saturday night in honor of her birthday and a large crowd was present. A fine time was had by all.

Cor. Wm. J. Shramek and Ladd Shramek of Chicago came to visit the home folks Thursday. Will has just returned home from France, being discharged from Rockford. He will spend this season at home. His friends in this community gave him a pleasant surprise Saturday night, at which 56 were present. At 12 o’clock a good lunch was served and a very good time was had by all.

Mr. and Mrs. Lueck and little son, Marvin, spent Sunday with the former’s brother at Christie.

Twenty-five dollars were taken in at the basket social at the Opelt home Saturday night.

Edna Munson visited Mrs. Austin on Thursday afternoon.

L. Shramek left for Chicago Sunday night. He was accompanied by his brother, Ed., who will spend several weeks there visiting friends and relatives.

The party at the Ebert home Monday night was well attended and all report the usual good time.
