Cull, Melvin A. (3 May 1928 - 17 July 2016)

Melvin A. Cull, age 88, of Thorp, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Pastor Jason Snapp will officiate. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in the Town of Hixon. Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Melvin was born on May 3, 1928, in the Madison area to Michael and Anna (Wallaker) Cull. He attended Owen Schools until the eighth grade. Melvin then went to work with his parents on the family farm (between Withee and Thorp). After his parents passed away, he purchased the farm and ran it for several years. Later he sold the farm and worked as a farmhand for farmers in the Owen, Withee and Curtiss areas.

Melvin enjoyed hunting and loved the outdoors. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
