Smagacz, Stanley F. (26 April 1919 - 27 August 1966) With Flag
Stanley F. Smagacz, 47, 511 11th St. S., (Wisconsin Rapids) died at 7 p.m.
Saturday, at the Bethel Convalescent Home where he had been a patient for two
weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 1966, at St.
Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Carl Dockendorff officiating. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Smagacz was born April 26, 1919 at Pray, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Smagacz. He was employed by the Green Bay & Western Railroad for 25 years and
was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the
Home & School Association of St. Vincent’s Parish.
He married Lorraine Holub at Neillsville on April 7, 1956. She survives,
together with a daughter, Lorraine, and a son James, both at home; three
sisters: Mrs. Donald Tomsyck, Pittsville, Mrs. Harry Martens, Elgin, Ill., and
Mrs. Joseph Filipiak, Chicago, and three brothers: Louis, Frank, and Joseph, all
of Chicago.
Friends may call at the Higgins Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 1,
1966. The Holy Name Society and Home & School Association will join in a general
rosary at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
