Mrs. Calvin Cook, who is in charge of the Marathon County Unity library station,
is calling attention to the fact that April 20 to 25 is National Library Week.
The Unity station is open ofn Friday from 3:30 to 5 in the afternoon.
Nyole Creed accompanied the camping committee of the Samoset Council to Camp
Chicagami, located near Nelsonville, Saturday for a walk-through inspection of
the camp and facilities.
Mr. and Mrs. Nyole Creed attended the Eagle Scout recognition banquet at the
Elks Club in Wausau Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. John Peters of Neenah were Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Lucy
Colby.
Earl Salter visited with Doctor and Mrs. Clarence Zenner at Cadott on Friday.
Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steart Salter were Mr. and Mrs.
John Bruecker, Lynette and JoEllen, Black Creek, and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Salter
and son, Michael, Appleton. An early birthday celebration in honor of jer Salter
was held. Jerry will leave this week for military service.
Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fischer on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs.
Glen (unreadable) , Stratford, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Seefledt and daughter,
Roxanne.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Binning have recently sold their home in the village and are
now living in an apartment in the home of Mrs. George Cook.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Andrews of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Mabbott spent
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Swell Cook, Medford.
Jeffrey Cook, Minneapolis, spent he weekend at the home of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Calvin Cook.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Suckow Jr. and two sons arrived at the Harvey Suckow Sr.
home Wednesday evening from Citose, Japan. They had been in Japan for the past
three years. At present they are living in Colby.
Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Kirby are planning to leave soon to make their home at
Shullsburg, Wisconsin. They have sold their property to Gust Paschke, who is the
manufacturer of Wilderness Campers.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Golz and Mrs. Rose Golz, Marshfield, were Sunday diner and
supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lynn. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Frome
and family, Antigo, were callers.
