Anderson, Laura (25 AUG 1910 – 25 FEB 1971)
Mrs. Victor Anderson, 60, of route 1, Spencer, died Thursday morning, February
25, 1971 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, of a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.
Rev. Robert Sutherland, pastor, officiated, and burial was made in the parish
cemetery. Pallbearers were Melvin Ayer, Leo Bloom, Dennis Dallmann, Corwin
Dallmann, Robert Helsten, and Lloyd Helsten. The congregation sang "Beautiful
Savior" and "Children of the Heavenly Father," accompanied by Mrs. Ansel Messer
at the organ.
The former Laura Newmann was born August 25, 1910, in Dodge County, and was
married July 18, 1942, in Unity, to Victor Anderson, who survives her. The
couple lived on a farm north of Spencer until the present time. She was a member
of Trinity Lutheran Church of Unity.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert Anderson, rural
Spencer; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Lenore) Calhoun, Tomahawk; a grandchild; three
sisters, Mrs. Hebert Kauper and Mrs. Lillian Clough, both of Hartford; and Mrs.
Albert Lofy, Hubertus; three brothers, Raymond Newmann, Two Rivers; Victor
Newmann, Germantown; and Lambert Newmann, Slinger.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
