Talso, Evelyn (5 MAY 1917 - 30 SEP 1973)

At 10:30 this forenoon funeral services were held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood, for Mrs Vaino Talso, 56. The Rev. David Wenger officiated and burial was made at Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Talso passed away at 10:35 p.m., September 30 at the Colonial Nursing Home at Colby.

The former Evelyn Twait was born May 5, 1917 in Sheridan, Ill. And moved to this community at an early age with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Twait. She received her education at the former South Bright School.

On June 5, 1955 she was united in marriage to Vaino Talso, who survives her as do two sisters, Martha Sorenson, route 1, Owen and Elizabeth Twait, Colby and three brothers, Olaf Twait, route 1, Owen; Silas Twait, Good Hope, Ill., and Elmer Twait, Chicago, Ill.

She and her husband had farmed in the Town of Longwood since 1955 where she served actively in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the A. L. C. W. and served as secretary of the ladies aid of the church for many years.
