Seeger, Hazel (31 DEC 1898 – 8 MAR 1971)
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Hazel Seeger, 72, route 1, Nekoosa,
at 9:25 p.m. Monday, March 8, 1971, at the Riverview Manor, Wisconsin Rapids, of
a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem
Lutheran Church, Nekoosa. The Rev. James Buckman will officiate and burial will
take place in the Lutheran Cemetery in Loyal. Friends may call at the Feldner
Funeral Home, Nekoosa, from 4:00 p.m. Thursday until 11:00 a.m., and Friday at
the church from noon until time of services.
Hazel Mabie was born December 31, 1898, in Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) to Mr. and
Mrs. Wallace Mabie. She lived in Loyal until age twenty, when she moved to Price
County until 1963, and then to Prentice until 1965. She then moved to route 1,
Nekoosa.
She was married to Herman R. Seeger on November 3, 1920, in Kennan, Wisconsin.
Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Ed Peters, Zion, Illinois;
Mrs. Wm. Wulf, route 1, Nekoosa; Mrs. Herbert Klants, Birnamwood; Mrs. Dwight
Quisberg, Naperville, Illinois; Mrs. Alfred Saler, Hartford, Wisconsin; four
sons, Robert, Virginia Beach, Virginia; Alton, Jump River, Frederick, Lake City,
Minnesota; Walter, Loyal; one brother, Lester Mabie, Kennan; two sisters, Mrs.
Arthur Schwantes, Santa Rosa, California; Mrs. Henry Birkholz, Long Prairie,
Minnesota; 32 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, four brothers
and one sister.
