The United Methodist churches in Medford, Rib Lake and Dorchester recently welcomed Angel Gabriel Rosario as their new Pastor.

Pastor Rosario was appointed to serve the Medford Charge at the Wisconsin Annual Conference held in June, and he began his new role with services on July 10.

Pastor Rosario is a licensed local pastor and this is his first appointment in the United Methodist Church in Wisconsin. In addition to serving the three churches of the Medford Charge, Pastor Rosario will also be exploring a new ministry outreach to the Hispanic/Latino communities along the Highway 13 corridor from Rib Lake to Colby.

Pastor Rosario was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the U.S. at age 18, settling in Milwaukee. He and his wife Lilliannet, met while attending the Hispanic United Methodist Church “Luz a las Naciones” (Light to the Nations). While there they were both actively involved in worship ministry, youth and social action. Pastor Rosario directed the worship ministry at their church for many years.

Lilliannet is currently in the process of finishing her candidacy to be a licensed local pastor, and at the same time she is also working to complete her bachelor’s degree in special education.

Both Angel and Lilliannet have a love of music - Lilliannet is a vocalist and Angel plays piano, base guitar and drums.

The Rosarios have two sons, Davian, 10, and Angel, Jr., 7, and their family loved the outdoors - camping, walking, gardening and sports. Angel and Lilliannet enjoy being active in the community and look forward to meeting the many resident of Medford, Rib Lake and Dorchester.
