Hoffmann, Henry A. (14 JUL 1916 - 3 AUG 2016)

Henry A. Hoffmann, age 99, of Town Little Black, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Our House Assisted Living in Medford while in the care of Hope Hospice.

A graveside committal service will take place at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Little Black, with Pastor David Clements officiating.

Henry was born on July 14, 2016, on the homestead farm in the Township of Little Black, to Anton and Bertha (Baldermann) Hoffmann.

On February 10, 1943 Henry married Evangaline Krueger and they were later divorced. He then married Blanch Warren on July 29, 1969 and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2004.

Henry lived and farmed on the homestead in the town of Little Black his entire life until he moved to Our House Assisted Living in Medford 8 years ago. He enjoyed collecting tractors.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet (August) Steffen of Mosinee; 3 grandchildren Gary Steffen of Wausau, Thomas (Michelle) Steffen of Wausau and Nicholas Steffen of Mosinee; 6 great grandchildren Terri (Nichole) Berger, Jessi Utecht and Kasse Berger all of Mosinee, Paige, Pierce, Payton and Prentis Steffen all of Wausau; 4 great great grandchildren, Eli Utecht, Seth, Leon and Sid Berger all of Mosinee.

He is predeceased by his parents, Anton and Bertha (Baldermann) Hoffmann; and grandchildren Timothy and Jeffrey Steffen, and Sandra Berger; siblings Lawrence and Robert Steffen, Louise Kostroski, Ann Byrne, Bertha Berger and Barbara Erben.
