Meyer, Roy H. (13 MAY 1929 - 3 AUG 2016)

Roy H. Meyer, 87, of Dorchester, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Roy was born May 13, 1929 in the Town of Mayville, Wisconsin to Edward and Anna (Geiger) Meyer. He received his education at Saint Louis Catholic School.

On Sept. 29, 1954, he was united in marriage to Marilyn A. Jensen of Dorchester.

Roy is survived by his children, Terry Meyer of Dorchester, Doug (Cathy) Meyer of Dorchester, Cheryl Meyer of Dorchester, Kevin (Shelby) Meyer of Medford, Dean (Gail) Meyer of Abbotsford, and Jay Meyer (Chris Geiger) of Lublin, 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Roy farmed most of his life and after retirement enjoyed his wood working, antiquing and flea market sales.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, a son, Brian Meyer, a daughter, Denise Rinehart, his parents, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

A small memorial service will be held at a later date.
