Schommer, Thomas D. (21 MAR 1944 – 1 AUG 2016)

Thomas D. Schommer, 72, Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, August 16, at the Greenwood City Cemetery. Immediately following the graveside service, a gathering of Tom’s friends will be held at the Greenwood Park.

Thomas Dean Schommer was born on March 21, 1944, in Mauston, to Margaret B. Schommer. In his later years, Tom resided in Greenwood where he was a common sight to many town residents. He would stop and visit many people, always checking on them and asking if he could help in any way. He enjoyed attending day care and outings with his friends. We were so glad to have gotten to know Tom, such an interesting and funny guy, who touched so many lives during his time here on earth.

He will be sadly missed by his friend, Mary Lutz, Greenwood.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.cuddiefh.com.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting with arrangements.
