Schultz, Helen A. (28 September 1920 - 4 August 2016)
Helen A. Schultz, 95, of Winneconne, formerly of Neillsville and Boom Bay, died
Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
She was born Sept. 28, 1920, in Neillsville, number five of nine children, to
the late John and Louise (Mazur) Kaczor. Helen married Leon J. Schultz May 29,
1943. They moved from Chicago to the Neillsville area in 1949, where they farmed
for about 30 years. Upon retirement, Helen and Leon moved to Boom Bay. In 1987,
Leon preceded her in death, after which she built a home in Winneconne.
Helen enjoyed gardening, bowling, sewing, crocheting and knitting, and she
rarely lost a game of cards. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church,
Winneconne.
Helen is survived by five children: Joan Tesch of Beaver Dam, Pat (Walter) Wucki
of Omro, Dianne (Ray) Shreve of Lecanto, FL, John (Diane) Schultz of Antioch, IL
and Tony (Mary) Schultz of Chippewa Falls; nine grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Beverly and Lorraine Kaczor;
son-in-law, Ben Falcone; and numerous nieces, nephews and good, dear friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Helen was also preceded in death by a
daughter, Theresa Falcone; a grandson, Michael Berger; a son-in-law, Wayne Tesch;
two sisters, Sophie Spitzock and Josephine Mullaley; and six brothers: Stanley,
Joseph, John, Thomas, Anton and Frank Kaczor.
A visitation for family and friends took place Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, from 9
a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral
Mass was held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant
Dr., Winneconne, with Fr. Joe Mattern and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial
followed in the Winneconne Cemetery.
