Gary L. Benedict, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morvin W. Benedict, route 2, Gwinn Street,
Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), recently was promoted to Army Specialist four in St.
Paul, Minnesota, where he is serving with the 13th Artillery Group.
Spec. Benedict, a supply specialist in the group's headquarters battery at
Snelling Army Defense site, entered the Army in September 1969, and was last
stationed in Vietnam.
The 20-year-old soldier is a 1969 graduate of Loyal High School.
His wife, Kathy, lived on route 2, Neillsville.
