Wachholz, Norman (13 DEC 1916 – 15 MAY 1971)
Norman Wachholz, 54, died Saturday morning, March 15, 1971. Services were held
Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Ruhbusch
officiated, and burial was made in the West Spencer Cemetery. The pallbearers
were Merlin Bolen, Paul Bugar, Donald Gripentrog, Warren Jacobitz, Daniel Lewis,
and Ray McNeely. The congregation sang "Near My God to Thee" and "The Lord is My
Shepherd," accompanied by Mrs. Carl Graupner at the organ.
Norman Wachholz was born December 13, 1916, in Spencer, and received his
education here. He was married to Isabelle Georges in Spencer on October 9,
1943. He had been employed at McNeely Construction Company for the last 11
years.
Mr. Wachholz was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the church
board. He had served two terms on the Village Board and was a member of the
Spencer Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert, Spencer; a daughter, Miss Karen
Wachholz, a student at Wisconsin State University, Stevens Point; one
grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Henry Wachholz, Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Harold
Allen, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Frank Doliveira, Duarte, California; and four
brothers, Maynard Wachholz, Spencer; Herbert Wachholz, Spencer; Donald Wachholz,
Marshfield, and Edward Wachholz, Brenham, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a sister and his father.
