Riley, Margaret Marie (Raymond) Chrostowski (28 AUG 1927 - 11 AUG 2016)

Margaret Marie Riley, 88, of Owen, passed away late Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at Luther-Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.

A rosary and visitation will precede the service, beginning at 9:15 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Withee Cemetery and a hot ham and scalloped potato lunch will follow the burial back at the Holy Rosary Church basement.

Margaret was born August 28, 1927, the daughter of Clarence and Violet (Remke) Raymond in Mosinee. She graduated from Mosinee High School in 1945. On June 12, 1948 she was united in marriage with Robert 'Bob' Chrostowski in Milwaukee.

After moving to Owen in 1965 and her husband passing in 1970, Margaret married James 'Jim' Riley on June 17, 1972 in Owen where they spent 42 years together until Jim passed on November 25, 2014.

'Marge' enjoyed bowling and all kinds of card games. In high school she was on the skating team. She was a longtime member of St. Rita's Circle at Holy Rosary and the American Legion Auxiliary in Owen. She was also co-founder of the Creekside Creamers Coffee Club. She always loved having a pet or two, especially her last one, her beagle 'Ladybug'.

Marge is lovingly survived by her son William 'Bill' Chrostowski of Eau Claire, her sisters Chris Williams and Carol Halas of Mosinee and brothers Russell and John 'Bucky' Raymond of Mosinee.

In addition to her husband’s and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Wilbur and James Raymond. Marge was the eldest of seven siblings. She would welcome all her many friends to say goodbye on Tuesday.
