Miss Kathleen Dux, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verland Dux, Loyal (Clark Co.,
Wis.), left from the Mosinee Airport on Monday to begin work with the Young
Americans in Concert, a group of over 450 young musicians from all fifty states,
who will begin a 6 nation tour of Europe on July 6.
Prior to departure for London they will present a concert in Carnegie Hall in
New York on July 2, and another concert in Washington, D.C., on July 4.
Miss Dux flew to New York in company with one of the other nine musicians chosen
from Wisconsin, Miss Jean Fox of Stevens Point.
The group is divided into a symphony orchestra, a band and a choir, and will
tour England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Belgium, playing a total
of nine concerts here and abroad.
