Fenske, Idora F. (8 FEB 1923 – 27 AUG 2016)

Idora C. Fenske, age 93, of Marshfield, passed away early Saturday morning, August 27, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. At Hansen Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway in Marshfield. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will take place at Yolo Cemetery in the Town of Fremont at a later date.

Idora was born February 8, 1923, the daughter of Edward and Ida (Franke) Kleinschmidt. On June 10, 1944 Idora was united in marriage to Herbert L. Fenske. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville.

Over the years she was employed at Karau's Bakery in Marshfield and at Wick Builders in Spencer. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and was often referred to as the "Queen of Bingo" at Golden Living Center, Three Oaks where she had resided the past two and a half years.

Idora is lovingly survived by her daughters Doreen Helm, Marshfield, Judy (Thomas) Van Elzen, Appleton, and Linda Fenske, Marshfield. She is further survived by her two grandchildren Tony (Rosemary) Schmidt Sarasota, Fl and Todd (Deb) Schmidt, Wauwatosa, WI, grand son-in-law Eric (Julia) Backaus, Neillsville, two step grandchildren Suzette (Charles) Wysocky, Altoona, WI and Brian Helm, St Croix Falls, WI., seven great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; three brothers Roy, Glen (Lilas) and Norbert, sister-in-law Beatrice Kleinschmidt, and family friend Jan Rasmussen.

Idora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, granddaughter Tammy Backaus, Son-in -Law Eldon Helm, brothers Guy, Silas, and sisters-in-law Lucille, Dorothy and Evelyn.

The family would like to thank the staff at Three Oaks and St Joseph Hospital for the excellent care given to Mom during her stay.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church or charity of choice .
