Mrs. Bernice Jones of 116 S. Eaton Ave., Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), has an
interesting hobby. She makes closthes and does the needed repairs on dolls that
have been donated to the Social Services Department of Clark County, Wis. The
dolls are then given as Christmas presents or taken to the Social Services Shop
located in the Elementary School at Owen. It is open on Wednesdays and Beulah
Zeutendam of Social Services, Neillsville, is in charge. Mrs. Jones became
interested in this work from dressing dolls for her daughter, Darlene. She makes
the complete outfits, even the stockings and matching headwear. The dolls also
received a shampoo, cut and new hair style. Mrs. Jones says she has received a
great deal of satisfaction from her hobby and has completed thirty dolls since
she started. Anyone who has any dolls or pieces of scrap material for clothes
that they wish to donate, they many bring them directly to Mrs. Jones.
