Thomas, Janice Marie (31 JUL 1971)
Nuptial ceremonies were performed at the Free Methodist Church, Loyal, on July
31, 1971 at 2 o'clock for Janice Marie Thomas, route 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.),
and Roger Earl Cleeton, Minneapolis.
Janice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thomas, route 1, Loyal, was given in
marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Cleeton of route 5,
Morris, Illinois.
The Rev. George Hollingshead of Waupaca officiated at the ceremony. Reginald
Landon, Minneapolis, and Carmon Thomas, Milwaukee, sang, with James Miller at
the organ.
The bride was seen in a gown with a Chantilly lace bodice with a high neckline
and long gathered sleeves, bouffant skirt of crystalline-redingote front showing
lace tiers. She wore a detachable chapel sweep train of crystalline and lace
with a pearl crown with crystal trim and bouffant veil.
Her maid of honor was Linda Thomas, sister of the bride, Loyal, with Mrs. Donna
Pasch, sister of the bride, Spencer, Mrs. Patsy Ann Pasch, sister of the bride,
Lake Delton, and Miss Judy Cleeton, sister of the groom, Morris, Illinois,
acting as bridesmaids.
All wore gowns made up of white georgette bodice with bishop sleeves and
self-ruffle neckline, and ruffled down bodice with a gathered skirt of maize
Venice lace floral trim at the waist. They carried baskets of white and yellow
daisies.
Terry Cleeton, brother of the groom, Morris, Illinois, was the best man, and the
groomsmen were David Cleeton, brother of the groom, Morris, Donald Pasch,
brother-in-law of the bride, Spencer, and Ronald Pasch, brother-in-law of the
bride, Lake Delton. Peter Lindgren, Stevens Point, and William Finch, Verona,
Illinois, performed the ushering duties.
After the ceremony the reception was held at the home of the bride's parents,
with dinner at the United Methodist Church Hall at Loyal.
Mrs. Cleeton attended WSU, Sevens Point and is presently a senior at St. Paul
Bible College. The groom graduated May 31, 1971 from Bethany Missionary
Fellowship, Minneapolis. At present both are doing missionary work.
After a wedding trip to northern Minnesota, the couple will reside at Sunshine
Bible Academy, Miller, S.D.
