Mrs. Thomas Annen and children of Crystal Lake, Illinois spent from Tuesday to
Friday at the William Annen home and at the Gerald Denk home in Greenwood.
Visitors this week at the Blanche Schmidt home at Loyal were Mrs. Duane Olson
and children of Greenwood, Mrs. Ione Sommers, Mrs. Clara Rossow and Mirs Ida
Lautenbach, all of Loyal, and Mrs. Howard Olsen of Owen.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rottjer, Sacramento, California, recently spent a week
visiting at the home of Mrs. Emma Rottjer.
Mr. Don Roth, Minneapolis, is visiting with relatives in the area.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bushnel, Lodi, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Bertz during the week.
Miss Sandra Guzman returned Saturday from spending two weeks visiting SP/4 and
Mrs. Thomas Guzman and Jill at Ayers, Massachusetts. She also toured Niagara
Falls, Washington, D.C. and Cape Cod.
The guest speaker and both the morning and evening services of the Loyal Free
Methodist Church on Sunday was Gerald Forstrom, Janesville.
Miss June Schmidt returned to her parent's home on Monday after visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grossbier in Green Bay for some weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Fleming, Muscoda, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Morris and
granddaughter, Christine Morris, Richland Center, Mrss. William Turnipseed,
Rockford, Illinois, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Grambsch and Mary were visitors at
the William Essex home on Monday.
Mrs. Marth Wucherpfennig spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James
Bauer, Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bloom, Brookfield, Miss Sandra Rossow, Sun Prairie, and Mrs.
Jerome Harder, Madison, were weekend guests at the Romaine Rossow home.
Mr. Erwin Gempler, Palatine, Illinois, spent the weekend at the home of his
mother, Mrs. Werner Gempler.
The W.M.S. of Loyal Free Methodist Church met at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Dodte, Neillsville, on Monday evening.
Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rice, Marshfield, called on Mrs. Hazel Trindal on Monday
evening.
Mr. George Schmidt, Kathy and Debbie, Janesville, spent from Tuesday to Friday
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ayers and family, Oshkosh, visited with several relatives in
the area during the weekend.
Miss Kathleen Dux returned to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verland Dux
on Monday, following her European tour with the with orchestra.
Overnight guests on Monday night at the home of Mrs. R.E. Larson were Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Larson and Danny, Peoria, Illinois. Danny will spend the week
visiting with his grandmother, while his parents vacation at Lake Superior.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Henninger and family and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Troxel,
Phoenix, Arizona, left for their home on Tuesday following a visit at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Henninger.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ayers and family, Neillsville, visited at the Robert Bertz
home on Sunday.
Miss Maria Heidenbauer and Mr. Hamid Kahn arrived from Vienna, Austria July 26
to visit Mr. and Mrs. John Fina. Miss Heidenbauer is a niece of Mr. Fina's and
this was their first meeting. She and Mr. Kahn are employed by the Pakistan
Airlines.
They were very impressed with free enterprise in industry, as compared to so
many government controlled industries in Vienna.
They returned to Vienna on Friday, July 30, and plan to revisit the states again
at a later date.
