Porter, Bonnie Jean (7 AUG 1971)
Bonnie Jean Porter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Porter, Milwaukee, was
married Saturday, August 7, 1971, to Gilber Charles Rohde Jr., son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gilbert C. Rohde Sr., Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).
The ceremony was performed at 4 p.m. in the Emmanuel United Methodist Church,
with Rev. Chester Schendel officiating.
The bride's sister, Barbara, was maid of honor. Le Ann Rohde of Greenwood, Mary
Griffin of Wauwatosa, Linda of Barres of Menomonee Falls and Christine Wulf of
Hartland were bridesmaids.
Kelly Dufour, Milwaukee, was the flower girl.
The best man was Alan Rohde, Milwaukee and Douglas Rohde of River Falls was ring
bearers. Groomsmen were Jim Weetjen, Akron, Ohio, Jim Porter, Milwaukee, Dave
Sage, Eau Claire and Ed Egbert, South Dakota.
The bride graduated last May from Eau Claire State University with a major in
elementary education. The groom also graduated from Eau Claire State in 1970
with a major in business economics. He now attends graduate school at the
University of Colorado.
The couple plans to take a honeymoon trip to Denver, Colorado.
A reception was held after the ceremony at Taverinn at Okauchee Lake.
The couple will be home after August 17 in Aurora, Colorado.
