Luther, Gerald (13 FEB 1915 – 28 AUG 1971)
Gerald Luther, 55, of Heafford Junction a former Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) and
Spencer man, died early Saturday, August 28, 1971, at Sacred Heart hospital at
Tomahawk.
The Luther family lived in Greenwood for many years, where they owned and
operated a cheese factory, and later a restaurant. Gerald attended Greenwood
schools.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Krueger and Sons Funeral Home,
Tomahawk, with the Rev. W. Clark Williams, of the Congregational Church of
Tomahawk, officiating. Burial was made in the Calvary Cemetery, Tomahawk.
Mr. Luther was born February 13, 1915 in Spencer, and was married March 21, 1948
to Florence Cychosz in Washburn. The couple had operated a store and post office
in Heafford Junction since that time.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Roger Alton, Wisconsin Rapids;
three sons, Michael, at home; Terry, Gold Beach, Oregon, and Thomas, Wisconsin
Rapids; five grandchildren; his father, Emil Luther, Tomahawk; and two brothers,
Douglas, Merrill, and Kenneth, Wausau.
