Ed Ploman broke his leg in an accident at the mill in Chili last Thursday. He
was taken to Marshfield for treatment, but returned to his home for
convalescence.
Mr. and Mrs. David Anderson took their daughter Elaine to Eau Claire Sunday. She
is a junior at the University and is enrolled in the School of Nursing.
Miss Margo Ganther has returned to her studies at Eau Claire University, where
she will be a Senior Music Major.
Area students who will be attending the Marshfield campus of the U of W are Rick
Bartsch, Greg and Gary Gardner, Jeff Crandall and Dave Shaw.
Charles Smith is attending the Green Bay campus, and Douglas Gardner is a senior
attending the Milwaukee campus.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Bartsch and family spent Saturday p.m. and Sunday at the
Woodcamp’s cottage at Gull Lake near Medford.
With just one summer weekend left we hope everyone will enjoy it to the fullest,
yet obey rule of good common sense and be back on the Tuesday after Labor Day
without any serious injury.
