Braun, Doris C. (30 AUG 1928 – 18 SEP 2016)

DORIS C. BRAUN, age 88, of Marshfield, WI, formerly of Loyal, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at House of the Dove, in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at St. Anthony, Catholic Church, in Loyal. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, from 9:30 AM until time of service. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kurt Braun, Eric Ratchman, Kevin Strey,Travis Braun, Tyler Schecklman, Dustin Braun, Christopher Lampsa, Derek Braun.

Doris Clara Bauer was born on August 30, 1928 in Loyal, WI to Paul O. and Lorene (Hubing) Bauer. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in Loyal area schools. She was united in marriage to Vincent E. Braun on June 12, 1948 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. She was a mother of eleven children and a homemaker. She and her husband farmed for 30 years in the Loyal area. They moved to Loyal after retiring in 1984. Her husband died on September 20th, 2000. Since then, she has lived in Loyal, Appleton and Marshfield.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the PCCW.

Doris had many interests but especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and trips out West in a station wagon and camper.

Doris is survived by her children: Gary (Edie) of Marshfield, Karen (Richard) Ratchman of Davenport, FL, Mick (Jean) of Phillips, WI, Sue Strey of Marshfield, Tim of Loyal, Mary (Tim) Schecklman of Appleton, WI, Andy (Shawn) of Marshfield, Carla (Brian) Lampsa of Downers Grove, IL; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Braun of Appleton, WI; 26 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; two brothers: Robert (Dickie) Bauer of Loyal, James (Lucille) Bauer of Marshfield; one sister-in-law: Louise Bauer of Loyal; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vincent; 3 sons: Joseph, Allen and John; a great grandson, Ezra Braun; two sisters: Phyllis Eriksen, Marjorie Rueth; and two brothers: Harvey and Richard Bauer.
