Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Schwarze, Mrs. Bertha Suoverland, Mrs. Frieda Schwarz, Mrs.
Ewald Schwarze, and Mrs. Caroline Chanly motored to Ladysmith Monday, where they
visited their aunt and sister, who is seriously ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Geisler and Mr. and Mrs. Merle Bushnell and Duane were
callers at the Brian Bushnell home at Barron Sunday, getting acquainted with
little Eric Todd, their grandson and nephew. Mrs. Norman Geisler stayed a few
days to help her daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Koake and daughter, Jeanette of Campbellsport spent the
weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Mauel Sr. The two ladies are sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mauel Jr. and family, and Mrs. Caroline Ammentorp and son,
Ray, of Withee drove to eau Claire Sunday for a cookout and family reunion at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Wolfram. The occasion was held before Ray
returns to California.
Mrs. Arthur Wolfram went to Minneapolis Tuesday of last week visiting at the
home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Bjorklund and Wednesday they attended
the funeral of a cousin in Highland Ville, Ia. She returned home Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erickson and family of Stoughton visited Sunday at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolfram, and at the home of his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Cornel Erickson at Curtiss. They returned home the same evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Gajewsky and family joined relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor
Melby of Tomah, and enjoyed an outing last week at Lake Amacoy near Bruce.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mathewson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, left last Thursday
after visiting here with friends and at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Kaplia of Withee.
Allen Nanstad, former Owen resident, living at Lancaster, visited Saturday at
the Allen Gajewsky home.
Mr. and Mrs. Duane Rittenhouse and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson drove to Spooner
Sunday, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Benson. Mrs. Benson was a former Owen
teacher who lived at the Art Schwenke home.
Mrs. William Klammer and Mrs. Henry Anderson were luncheon guests Thursday of
last week at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Weisbrod at New Richmond. Other
luncheon guests were Rev. Richard Hewetson and Rev. Beauchamp of Hudson.
Mrs. Jerome LePage has been driving to eau Claire every other day to visit her
father, Emil Bensen, of Bruce, who has been hospitalized.
Mrs. Lyle Martens and children of Seymour visited all last week at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pyatt. Sunday her husband Lyle Joined them
for the weekend visit and returned Sunday. On Saturday Clarence Pyatt and Lyle
Martens enjoyed a day of fishing at Mercer.
