Raymond Singleton, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Singleton, town of Grover, is in
critical condition at the Medford hospital suffering from a gunshot wound which
he received in a hunting accident about 3 p.m. Sunday.
A .22 caliber rifle bullet severed Raymond’s spinal column and lodged in his
shoulder after perforating his left lung.
Raymond told Sheriff Herb Curran that he was out rabbit hunting with three
companions in Jerry’s woods north of Perkinstown when the gun belonging to
Donald Westrich, 14, accidently discharged. Donald was walking behind Raymond
when the accident occurred.
