Hamann, Royal R. (5 JAN 1916 - 3 MAR 2005)
Royal R. Hamann, 89, 1306 Fern Lane, Wausau, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at
Wausau Manor Nursing Home.
He was born January 5, 1916 in Edgar, son of the late Henry and Bertha
(Bruesewitz) Hamann. On May 14, 1938, he married Milda Ballerstein in Edgar. She
survives.
Royal farmed in the town of Frankfort for many years and was town treasurer for
28 years.
Survivors include his wife, Milda Hamann, Wausau; one son, Ken (Sharon) Hamann,
Wausau; two daughters, Janice (Ronald) Brown, Edgar and Judy (Laurie) Hubbard,
Minocqua; twelve grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lori) Hamann, Wausau, Sara (Tim)
Blokhuis, Wisconsin Rapids, Douglas Brown, Edgar, Stacey Brown, Edgar, Larry
(Wendy) Brown, Eau Claire, Bruce (Jamie) Brown, Antigo, Beverly (Todd)
Schwantes, Oconto Falls, Christopher Hubbard, Minocqua, Michelle Hubbard, Edgar,
Rick (Chris) Walters, Atlanta, Ga., Randy (Julie) Walters, Milton and Steven
Walters, Appleton; fifteen great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews further
survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Walters;
one brother, Clarence Hamann; seven half brothers and seven half sisters.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005 at St. John Lutheran
Church, High Steeple, town of Wien. Rev. Matthew Christian will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 a.m.
until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in
charge of arrangements.
