Niemi, Jack S. (2 FEB 1905 – 19 SEP 1966)
Jack S. Niemi, 61, rte. 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) died at 2 p.m. Monday in St.
Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, (Thursday) at Emmanuel Lutheran
Church in the town of Longwood. Rev. Arvid Myhrwold will officiated, and burial
will be made in the Riverside Cemetery at Withee.
Pallbearers will be Wm. Niemi, Olaf Stenmann, Francis Herr, Wm. Kangas, Ted
Piekola and Herb Missling.
Mr. Niemi was born February 2, 1905 at Waukegan, Ill., and at the age of seven
years came to the town of Longwood. His marriage to Martha Haahto took place
October 31, 1942, at Owen. After their marriage, the couple farmed on rte. 1,
Owen.
Mr. Niemi was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Longwood.
In addition to his wife, survivors are: a son, Melvin Niemi, rte. 1, Owen; and
two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Rossow, Loyal; and Mrs. Francis (Martha) Herr,
Greenwood.
A brother preceded him in death.
