Carlson, Frans. V. (2 NOV 1884 – 18 SEP 1966)
Frans. V. Carlson, 81, of Gladstone, Michigan, died Sunday at Victory Memorial
Hospital at Stanley, after an illness of one weeks.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gladstone, and burial was
through McElravy-Geier Funeral Home, and under the direction of the Kelly
Funeral Home in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Carlson was born November 2, 1884 in Finland, and came to the United States
at an early age to settled in Gladstone. He was a retired railroad worker and
was staying in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) with a daughter, Mrs. John (Linnea)
Bishop, for the past two winters. His church affiliations were with the Lutheran
Church.
Mr. and Mrs. John Bishop and John Jr., had just driven to Gladstone last
Wednesday to get Mr. Carlson to spend the winter at Owen.
Surviving are children, Linnea, Emelia, Carlson Bishop of Owen, and F.V. Hilding
Carlson of Gladstone, Mich.
Mr. Carlson had 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers were James B. and Richard A. Bishop, Ladysmith; John V. Bishop,
Fond du Lac; Larry P. Carlson, Milwaukee; Byron K. Carlson, Gladstone and Donald
M. Sisco, Eau Claire.
