Faude, Iris E. (Ogle) (8 APR 1929 - 30 SEP 2016)
Iris E. Faude, age 87 of the Township of Cleveland resident, died on Friday,
September 30 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield where she had been a patient
for the past 3 weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 6, at Community
United Church of Christ, Medford, with Pastor Mary Jo Laabs officiating.
Interment will be at Perkinstown Community Cemetery, Township of Grover.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 6 from 9 AM until the time of services
at 11 AM at the Community United Church of Christ, Medford.
Iris was born on April 8, 1929 at Warrens, WI, to Harry James and Dorothy
Lillian (Westrich) Ogle.
She attended Perkinstown Elementary school and was a 1946 graduate of Hannibal
High School.
On July 19, 1947, at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford, Iris married Harley H.
Faude. He preceded her in death March 22, 2013.
After her marriage, they resided in Milwaukee where she waitressed. Then they
purchased a dairy farm in Redville. In 1962, they purchased a dairy farm in
Lublin. Then they owned and operated a gas station/bait shop in Perkinstown. She
worked at Tombstone Pizza in Medford for a period of time. Then they moved to
her present address in the Town of Cleveland where she served as town clerk for
many years. She enjoyed gardening, all types of sewing, fishing, traveling, her
pets and feeding the birds.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Gilman.
Iris is survived by her children, Joyce (Jim) Peterson of Medford; Diane Faude
of Anchorage, AK; Bruce “Buck” Faude of Perkinstown; Larry Faude of Lublin; 4
grandchildren, David LaRock, Michelle Damato, Diana Faude, Crystal Eckstrom; and
7 great grandchildren.
She is further survived by siblings, Otillia “Toots” (Lewis) Kohn of Cadott;
Marlene (Norman) Skabroud of Sheldon; Elva (Bob) Drier of Jump River; and Susie
(Jerry) Krug of Perkinstown.
Iris is predeceased by her parents, Harry James and Dorothy Lillian (Westrich)
Ogle; and brothers, Arnold, Gerald and Glen Ogle.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Taylor County Humane Society,
Medford.
