Boehm, Douglas G. (14 APR 1960 - 5 MAY 2008)
Douglas G. Boehm, 48, Wausau, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at the home of his
brother, under the care of Ministry Home Hospice, after a courageous battle with
cancer.
He was born April 14, 1960 in Wausau, son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Ziliac)
Boehm.
Doug was employed at the YMCA in the Maintenance Department and also worked for
15 years at Northern Welding. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting,
fishing, was an avid Packer fan and loved going to the casino.
Survivors include, three siblings, Kenneth (Karen) Boehm, Weston, Nancy (Dan)
Figlmiller, Wausau and Brian (Denise) Boehm, Wausau; and seven nieces and
nephews, Heather, Corry, Aaron, Steven and Michael Boehm, Nicola Grimm and Josh
(Kim) Grimm.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Boehm; one
niece, Amanda Boehm; and one nephew, Keith Boehm.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 at Peterson/Kraemer
Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from
4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services all
at the Sixth Street funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ministry Home Hospice,
especially, Peggy, Dawn and Dr. Onitilo for the outstanding care and concern for
Doug and his family.
