Boehm, Darla Ann (Leonard) (18 FEB 1962 - 30 SEP 2016)
Darla Ann Boehm, 54, Township of Emery, died on Friday, September 30, 2016, at
her home while under the care of Flambeau Home Care and Hospice and her family.
She was born on February 18, 1962, in Red Wing, Minn., the daughter of Richard
and Mary Jo (Matzek) Leonard.
She spent her early life and schooling the Redwing area. Where she attended and
graduated from Prescott High School with the Class of 1980.
Following high school she was employed in Red Wing, then as an insurance
underwriter for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Co. in Eagan, Minn.
She married Ken Boehm on July 10, 1985. Following their marriage they made their
home in Price County in 1989.She then owned and operated Darla’s Professional
Cleaning Service until ill health forced her to retire.
She attended the First Baptist Church, Phillips.
In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and the
outdoors especially fishing.
She is survived by her husband Ken, Town of Emery, by her Mother: Mary Jo Kosiek,
Prescott, WI, by 2 daughters: Tara (Thom) Sprague, Hudson, WI, and Teresa Boehm,
Eau Claire, WI, by 1 grandson Austin Sprague, by her sister Deb (Brad) Ryan,
Prescott, WI, and by her twin sister Dawn (Barry) Parker, Hudson, WI.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard Leonard.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at
the First Baptist Church, Phillips, with Pastor Keith Hurlbut officiating.
Interment will be in the Emery, Cemetery, Township of Emery.
Friends may call from 12:00 Noon on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at the church until
the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
