Boehm, Marie (Rader) (4 AUG 1916 - 8 MAY 2004)
Marie Boehm, 87, formerly of Marathon, died Saturday May 8, 2004 at Wausau Manor
Nursing Home.
She was born August 4, 1916 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late William
and Grace (Karlen) Rader.
On October 20, 1938 she married Roger Boehm in Marathon. He preceded her in
death May 19, 1985. Marie was a homemaker and farmed with her husband until the
early 80’s in the town of Marathon. In 1985 she moved to the village of
Marathon. The past two and a half years she resided at the Vander Waal CBRF,
Mosinee.
Marie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon, their Parish Council
of Catholic Women and was a past volunteer at St. Anthony Retreat Center,
Marathon. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Ivan) Knoeck, Marathon, three
grandchildren, Joel Knoeck, Marathon, Glenn (Lindsey) Knoeck, Marathon, Paula
(friend, Dean Walters) Knoeck, Merrill, brothers, William (Ernestine) Rader,
Rudolph (Margie) Rader, all of Wausau, Jerome (Maryann) Rader, Schofield, a
sister, Joan (George) Chojnowski, Tinley Park, Ill., sisters-in-law, Hildegard
Rader, Marathon, Delores Rader, Wausau, brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon & Mary
Boehm, Wausau, Loy Boehm, Stratford, Armin & Lorraine Boehm, Hubert & Mae Boehm
and Betty Drake all of Mosinee, John & Loretta Kaiser, Marshfield, Robert &
Dorothy Clark, Stevens Point and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Roger, she was preceded in death by three
brothers, Herbert, Clarence and Erwin Rader.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday May 11, 2004 at St.
Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will
be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until the
time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of arrangements.
