Boehm, Mark P. (17 MAR 1924 - 19 JAN 2010)
Mark P. Boehm, 85, Wausau, died Tuesday January 19, 2010 at the Hospice House,
Wausau.
He was born March 17, 1924, in Halder, son of the late Robert and Appolonia (Dahlke)
Boehm.
On June 25, 1949, he married Joan Hornung at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon.
She survives.
The Boehm's farmed near Halder for 20 years and later Mark had been employed at
the Wausau K-Mart until his retirement in 1986.
Mark was a member of the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau, where he
served as an usher and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Among his favorite
things to do were playing cards, especially sheepshead, playing in league Dart
ball and an occasional trip to the casino.
Survivors include his wife, Joan, his family, Glen (Kathleen) Boehm, Mosinee and
their family, Dan (Gina) Boehm, Theresa Boehm, Patrick (fiance Alison) Boehm;
Kathleen (David) Martin, Wausau and their son, Douglas Martin; Mark Boehm,
Wausau; Jean (Greg) Laffin, Ixonia and their family, Matthew (Tricia) Laffin,
Michael (Miranda) Laffin, Jennifer Laffin; Lois (Reg) Konkol, Hatley and their
family, Jordan and Shannon; three great grandchildren, Zophyah, Kaine and
Charlotte Laffin, two brothers, Leonard (Laverna) Boehm, Eau Claire, Eugene
Boehm, Wausau, one sister, Cecelia Boehm, Dubuque, Iowa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Boehm and
Alma Gau.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 23, 2010 at
the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Gerald Pehler OFM Cap. will
preside. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Halder.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the
church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Name Parish.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Hospice
House for the care given to Mark.
