Michor, Mabel Ruth (Scheuer) (31 MAR 1930 - 18 AUG 2016)
Mabel Ruth Michor (Scheuer), age 86, of Tinley Park, Ill., passed away on
Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016.
Mabel was born on March 31, 1930 in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of Otto and Marie (Monheim)
Scheuer. Mabel grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School.
On Sept. 8, 1951 she married Edward J. Michor at St. John the Baptist Church in
Harvey, Ill. Edward and Mabel worked, lived and raised two daughters, Diane and
Debbie in the Harvey area. After Edward retired from Whiting Corporation in
1992, they moved to Tinley Park,Ill. Mabel retired from Easco Products in 1995.
Edward and Mabel enjoyed traveling together and spending time with their
children (Diane and her husband Mike Crowley and her daughter Debbie Spidle),
grandchildren (Mick Crowley and Connor Spidle) and great-grandchild (Axel
Crowley). Edward passed away on May 15, 2008.
Mabel will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Mabel is
survived by her daughters, Diane Crowley of Tinley Park, Ill. and Deborah Spidle
of Geneva, Ill.; a son-in-law: Michael Crowley of Tinley Park, Ill.; two
grandsons, Mick Crowley of Magnolia, Tex. and Connor Spidle of Geneva, Ill; a
great-grandson, Axel Crowley of Magnolia, Tex; four sisters, Evelyn House of
Waupaca, Delores Smith of Dorchester, Mary Laurich of Sussex and Janet Scheuer
of Westboro; two brothers, Richard Scheuer of Chicago, Ill. and David (Minda)
Scheuer of Rib Lake. Mabel is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Marie Scheuer; her husband,
Edward Michor; a sister, Lillian Haseman and three brothers-in-law, Ray Laurich,
Edward House and John Haseman.
A funeral mass was held at St. George Church in Tinley Park, Ill. Mabel joined
her husband, Edward at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Ill.
