Pawson, Jean (17 MAY 1917 – 25 OCT 1966)
A former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, Miss Jean Pawson, 49, died of a heart
attack a week ago Tuesday, October 25, 1966, at her home in Tucson, Arizona.
Funeral services were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, at
two o'clock Saturday, October 29, with Rev. F.H. Sprengler, pastor of Christ
Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, being in charge of the final rites. Burial was made
in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery at Curtiss.
Serving as pallbearers were Frank, Tony and Edward Potocnik, Elton and Loraine
Fritz, and James Barrett.
Miss Pawson was born May 17, 1917 in the town of Hoard, Clark County, and was a
graduate of the Owen High School with the class of 1935. Following graduation
she traveled extensively throughout the United States and had been employed in
various places.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Maxine) Potocnik, rte. 2, Owen, and a
brother, Wesley Becken, Milwaukee.
