Dr. Schweinler went to Antigo yesterday.

Carl Walk was at Chili yesterday on business.

County Clerk Andersen was at Withee to vote Tuesday.

Mrs. Elva Nelson of Deer River, Minn. is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Beardsley.

On Monday evening Eiline Furlong Hoepner was born to Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Hoepner.

Mrs. Haas and son of Minneapolis have been visiting her sister, Mrs. A.C. Martin.

Mrs. Julia Gachnang and Mrs. Regina Gachnang of Pittsville are spending a few days here with friends.

John Mead of Prescott, Arizona, just out of the army, is spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Smith and H.M. Root before returning home.

A letter from Wilson S. Covill to Judge O’Neill brings the information that Mr. and Mrs. Covill have been spending the winter at the Soldiers’ Home at Retsil in the state of Washington. Mr. Covill was one of the Civil War veterans who located here after the war was over. He was in the lumbering business in Clark County for many years, was member of the County Board and filled the office of sheriff one term. He moved to the state of Washington a good many years ago and was interested in the lumber business at Shelton in that state. Mrs. Covill was Isabella J. O’Neill, daughter of James O’Neill, founder of this city. Mr. Covill writes that he is in good health, but Mrs. Covill is not very well.
