Pleasant Ridge (17 Apr 1919)
Mrs. Henry Carter has been spending a few days on the Ridge.
Miss Doris Huckstead spent Saturday night with her cousin, Ruth Vine.
Irving Vine’s school mates and friends gave him a fine surprise Saturday night
in honor of his 16th birthday. Peanuts and maple sugar were served and all had a
fine time.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huckstead were out Sunday with their new Ford car.
Miss Gertrude Howard spent Sunday afternoon with Miss Merwin Hiles.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Selves and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Swann spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Jim King.
Miss Rider and pupils cleaned the school house Saturday afternoon.
Grandma Vine is feeling some better and can sit up a little. Mrs. Carter left
for her home in Crandon Monday after being in Neillsville for a month helping
care for her mother. Mrs. Major will remain for a time.
James Hughes installed a new milking machine Monday.
